Furne One’s “Espionage En Couture”

On October 26th, 2012, be sure to secure your spot at the runway show of the year.

From 7pm-midnight, in a private hanger at the Scottsdale AirCenter, Dubai-based fashion designer Furne One will locally unveil his Spring 2013 collection.  The clothing line, titled Confessions of Mata Hari; A Tribute to McQueen, will be full of eccentric, elaborate pieces.  (It often takes 100 people to make one Furne creation; celebs like J-Lo and Katy Perry are big Furne fans.)

As a Valley woman entrerenuer who recently founded a bridal fashion marketplace, I would love to attend this exclusive fashion event for the following reasons: 1) I am obsessed with Furne One and watched in absolute awe as his designs walked down The Phonix Fashion Week runway. 2) I believe in the cause it supports. 3) I will take my fashionable besty who is more obsessed with Furne One than me and would really enjoy being a part of the fashion and talent associated with this event. 4) It would be amazing to meet this list “A-list” designer as he was not here for fashion week and has remarkable design talent.

I’d love to win two tickets to the show. I’m the valley’s biggest fashionista because I love everything fashion. I’ve attended shows across the valley and have coordinated shows throughout college and after with other super fashion forward fashionistas. Phoenix Fashion Week is what got me involved in fashion. I was taking fashion classes at a community college and my instructor was an emerging designer that year. Black Russian Lable won that year, since then I just can’t seem to get enough. After seeing BRL on the runway last night at a charity show I decided it time to kick my networking up a notch because I’d like to plan an upcoming show. Meeting the designer of FURNE ONE would be a nice bonus. Pick me!

    Hi Nadine,

My name is Khamsone and I would be absolutely ecstatic to attend the Furne One fashion fundraiser extravaganza as a fashion VIP because I am an aspiring fashion designer and community advocate. It is amazing that Furne has been able to accomplish so much; his designs are what dreams are made of and his talent almost surreal, even supernatural. His passion for perfection, fantasy, beauty, and most of all, for women is clearly what drives his designs. I envy and admire him. The thought of being able to be so close to him and his work is almost too close to insanity. I would love to be crazy like that.

I also believe in people coming together in harmony for a cause that is very close to their hearts, no matter who we are, where we’ve been and where we are going in our lives. The Dana and Christopher Reeve Foundation have given so much in the advocacy, research, support and inspiration for spinal cord injury and with our collective effort, they will continue to keep giving and change lives. Having Christopher Reeve, who was truly my first love in film, as the face of the foundation, gently reminds us all that there is a “real hero’ in all of us. Together we can do this; we can strengthen ourselves with education, knowledge and passion – and change the world.

And…the other reason – my birthday is this Thursday, October 25 – I will be 38, holy mother-of-fashion! I’ve got 2 more years to dress-in-less until I’m over-the-hill! Oh but what the heck – I’ll be strutting up that hill in heels and a bodycon, shall we meet at the top for mimosas and some juicy fashion gossip? I swear to my personal fashion-hero McQueen that I will wear mini-skirts until I’m 60 or beyond. You swear it too. I would go with my beautiful younger sister who has had some challenges this year and deserves something extraordinary. Hope to see you behind the velvet ropes.
